Amanda Shufelt, owner of Comfort Mechanics LLC. She was born and raised in VT and moved to NY in 2018. Amanda received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from College of St. Joseph and a Masters degree in Child Development from Southern New Hampshire University.

We were panicked... furnance shut off with a fireball and we had no idea what to do other than shut it down and not use it. Called several numbers the last few days and only one could respond, but couldn't come out before next week (and was a few hundred dollars just to be seen). We reached out to friends and were reccomended to Comfort Mechanics.  They were polite and knowledgeable on the phone, and sent a tech out within an hour,  for less than half the quoted price of the other company. The tech that showed up was extremely polite and knew exactly what was wrong with our furnace, got it running, and had a plan for what needed to be done in the future. Thank you so much. ???? 10 out of 10 will use them in the future and definitely recommend this company to others.

Our hot water heater tank broke, luckily enough we had a second tank as a back up. Jeff was willing to accommodate next day replacement. But since it wasn’t a huge emergency we waited. He came to look at what we had going on, and gave us a couple options. We decided to go with a tankless water heater. Prices were very reasonable, and he fit us in his schedule. He showed up when he said he would, and did a 10 hour day in our basement. By the end of the day we had hot water! He even accommodated and let us keep the backup hot water tank, since it wasn’t broken. He made recommendations on reasonability, not on sales. 

We also asked for a new thermostat to be installed, and although that was trickier than anyone anticipated. He managed to figure it out, and got us exactly what we wanted.

Jeff was professional, courteous, and answered all of our questions. The installation was beautiful, he confirmed all of our preferences, and left everything cleaner than when he arrived. I was having problems with my central air conditioning, Jeff came out to service it.Jeff found my issue extremely fast! A mouse made a nest and ate through the wires on my outside unit ,causing them to fail. Jeff went right to work and fixed the problems. My house is cool again! I would recommend anyone to use his services. Jeff is fast , knowledgeable,professional, and very reasonable. I would never have anyone else to work on my heating and air conditioning. I have hired Jeff Shufelt for many of my plumbing, cooling and heating needs. He installed a mini split heating and cooling unit and he installed a central air conditioning unit onto my existing forced hot air furnace. We had problems in the past with pipes freezing. We hired Jeff to relocate the pipes. Since then we have not had a problem with pipes freezing. We also hire Jeff to clean our furnace.
